My Why...

I spent over 20 years as a military spouse, navigating deployments, relocations, and the particular kind of resilience that military life demands of everyone in the family, not just the one in uniform. I raised three kids through all of it, advocated for military families as an ombudsman, and somewhere in the middle of all of that, did my own hard work of healing from a childhood that didn't give me the softest start.

 

Those experiences didn't just shape me as a person. They shaped the kind of therapist I am. I know what it feels like to hold it together on the outside while quietly falling apart on the inside. I know what it feels like to wonder if things can actually get better. And I know, because I've lived it, that they can.

 

My approach blends evidence-based tools like CBT, DBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing with real talk, genuine warmth, and zero judgment. You set the goals. You set the pace. I bring the training, the experience, and the kind of presence that makes the hard stuff feel a little less impossible.

As a human...

When I am not in session, I am navigating life with teens and young adults, which is its own kind of therapy honestly. The conversations are real, the eye rolls are frequent, and the love is enormous.

 

I am a spouse to a retired veteran, and a proud pittie mom to a boy who absolutely thinks he is the main character of every room he walks into. He is not wrong. In my downtime you will find me deep in a fantasy world or on the edge of my seat with a thriller, unwinding with a good documentary, gaming without a single ounce of guilt, or shopping because yes, it counts as self care. All of it is powered by coffee. Non-negotiable.

 

I bring all of that realness into the way I show up for my clients. Because I am not just a therapist sitting behind a degree on a wall. I am a whole person with a full, messy, beautiful life and I think that matters more than most people realize. The best therapists are not the ones who have it all figured out. They are the ones who know what it actually feels like to be human, and who show up anyway.

I work with adults carrying all of it, with evidence-based tools like CBT, DBT, and ACT and enough real talk to actually make them useful. I am geek and kink aware, judgment free, and the kind of therapist who will never make you feel like you have to edit yourself before walking into a session.
